  3. The importance of point of sale system in a retail business environment is endless. The point of sale system functions on the line of the computer system but is more than just a computer system. When the customer places an order in a restaurant then he is given a printed receipt of his order and same order is transferred to the kitchen for preparing the requested meals. Whereas in units like grocery shops it has many tasks to perform.
