Enroll in the upcoming January 2024 cohort for 32 hours ICF CCE program for renewal of ICF credentials As per the International Coaching Federation (ICF), coaches must renew their credentials every three years. Continuing Coach Education (CCE) is the supplemental and continuing education for those wishing to acquire new learning and professional development or renewing their ICF credentials for ACC (Associated Certified Coach), PCC (Professional Certified Coach), and MCC (Master Certified Coach). Many people who received their credentials years ago can continue to provide coaching by enrolling into ICF CCE program provided by an approved institute, such as Powerhouse Coaching. The ICF CCE program is designed for ACCs and PCCs who seek to reactivate their credential, and/or refresh their skills. ICF CCE units are awarded in the below two categories: Core Competencies: This supplemental and continuing coach education directly relates to or expands upon the ICF core competencies. Resource Development:These units contribute to a coach’s professional development related to coaching tools or assessments, personal development, and other material that falls outside of ICF core competencies. The highly educational three-month program delivers 32 ICF CCEUs that contain 30 core and 2 resource competencies, which consist of coaching instructions, mentoring, skill-building, and peer coaching with live feedback. The course curriculum is designed to master two bookends of a coaching session, improve a coach’s ability to develop trust and safety, and adopt best practices to overcome common fears and avoid coaching pitfalls.
The 32 hours ICF CCE program is divided into below synchronous and asynchronous hours. 18 Synchronous Hours: Delivered virtually via Zoom, these 90-minutes sessions are super focused on understanding, embodying, and practicing the eight ICF core competencies. The ICF CCE units include a combination of instructions, facilitated discussions, coaching practice, and live feedback. The sessions are held at the same time each week, consecutively. 14 Asynchronous Hours: These ICF CCEUs include a combination of coaching, self-assessment, and journaling. Students create a community and share their findings via online classroom discussion forums. They are paired with a buddy for support, practice, and discussion outside the class. 12-week program with 90 minutes sessions each The entire program is completed in 12 weeks, with each session being of 90- minute duration. The mentee coaches will be taught about great opening questions, better listening, and given self-assessment practice with peer coaching and feedback. They will be taught about how to overcome common fears, address common challenges, build trust and safety, and the application of learning. Small and intimate group size Group size for ICF CCE program is limited to between 6 to 10 participants, who should hold and ICF ACC or PCC, active or lapsed. At the very least, a minimum of 60 hours (about 2 and a half days) of coaching education from an ICF accredited course is required to enroll in the program. Students should plan to spend an hour each week on asynchronous activities.
