MCC mentor coaching to that goes beyond ICF competencies and self-development Master Certified Coach (MCC) is the highest credential offered by the International Coaching Federation, whose credentials are considered as the gold standard in the coaching industry. MCC can be obtained through two paths, viz. Level 3 Path, and Portfolio Path. Level 3 Path: This path for MCC is available to the individuals who hold a PCC (Professional Certified Coach), and have built into their program the education hours and mentor coaching required to earn an MCC credential. Portfolio Path: For non-ICF-accredited education, the program curriculum will need to be submitted with robust documentation to ensure the education received meets ICF standards. For both of these paths, the coach-applicant should have: 200+ hours of coaching education 2,500+ hours of coaching experience, and Hold, or previously held, PCC credential The coach applicant is also required to receive 10-hour group mentor coaching from an accredited mentoring institute or a qualified MCC coach. Coaching through synchronous and asynchronous hours The objective of MCC mentor coaching by Powerhouse Coaching is to assist experienced coaches in understanding the nuances that distinguish MCC coaching from PCC, and develop the coaches’ awareness of self and the shifts required to coach at the Master level. The MCC mentor coaching helps coaches to find and bring their unique coach shelf to MCC coaching session. The coaching prepares coaches for a confident submission of their MCC application and recordings through tons of practice, self-reflection, and feedback. The comprehensive 75 hours MCC mentor coaching by Powerhouse Coaching is divided into below synchronous and asynchronous hours: 39 Synchronous Hours: The coaching sessions will be of 90 minutes each, with the exception of four 2-hour Practice Clinics, and include a combination of instruction, facilitated discussion, coaching practice, and feedback. The program includes the required 10 hours of group mentor coaching, which consists of 7 hours of group mentor coaching in small groups of a maximum of 10 participants, and 3 hours of one-to-one coaching between the mentor coach and the mentee coach. 36 Asynchronous Hours: The hours include a combination of coaching, being coached, journaling, independent reading, plus listening to and reviewing a variety of MCC-level coaching sessions. Under this MCC mentor coaching, students create a community outside of live sessions, and share their findings via an online classroom discussion forum. Students are paired with a buddy with whom they can find support, practice, and discuss outside of class. All classes for MCC mentor coaching are delivered in English, and completed over a course of 22 weeks, that cover deep dive into ICF coaching competencies, self- development, peer coaching, optional make-up classes, and more.
