Recent Activity in Hall A (2011) May 13 Finished a series of experiments , started 6 mo. shutdown, install g2p/GEp August PAC38 -- 4 new proposals, SBS SIDIS approved, 3 proposals graded ( next slide) Oct 13-14 Review of SuperBigbite Spectrometer (SBS) by DOE favorable on science and technology. needed work on project management, cost, schedule. revised proj. mgt. plan (PMP) -- John LeRose -- due Jan. Oct – now g2p /GEp polarized target: Failure of superconducting magnet (shorts to ground). Decide : retrofit a magnet from Hall B, ready Feb 2012 Plan: reduced run of g2p/GEp Feb – May 2012 covering essential low-Q2 run plan. + 1 wk. commissioning run (w/o target) Dec (starting now).
