The Digestive System By: Lucas Sharp and Nate Whittington
What it’s made up of • Organs in the digestive tract include the mouth, esophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, the rectum, and anus. • The liver and pancreas make the digestive juices. • The gallbladder stores the livers digestive juices. When they’re released into the intestines.
What happens to the food you eat? • When you eat foods they must be broken down into smaller pieces to be released into the blood. • The acid in the digestive juices breaks down food, leaving the nutrients to be absorbed into the cells and it gives the body energy. • The energy from the food goes throughout the body into the circulatory system.
