Background Kuwait Integrated Environmental Information Network (KIEIN) was initiated since 1994. Developed baseline of Geoenvironmental DB. Developed in-house tool for environmental management. Developed capacity in GIS and environmental related issues.

It is strongly recommended to establish a GeoenvironmentalPortal(similar to KIEIN) on the regional and international levels to share the knowledge, experience and information regarding the HIMAissue.
