Expository Prompt Formula • Topic: This is the introductory paragraph that opens with a brief exploration of the topic presented in the prompt and mentions the example chosen. • Example: This paragraph explains the student’s example by describing the situation as it happened in context. (NOT a retelling of the whole story) • Analysis: This paragraph analyzes the example as it relates to the topic presented in the prompt. • Conclusion: The last paragraph in which you state your final point or resolution. • Have I proofread?
