Healthy Community Building • Achievement: • Tainan Healthy City Demonstration Project and join the Alliance for Healthy Cities of WPRO • Healthy Environment and Space renovation Program in 93 communities • In 2005, 216 community health development centers established • Workshops for participants and volunteers to develop healthy behavior skills • Empower Public Health Bureau at local government and train local health authority personnel

  5. Healthy Community Building • Task： • Funding 3 more healthy-city projects in Taiwan, including Miaoli, Hualien, Koahsiung, and launch healthy city alliance • Integrating healthy community building centers as critical healthy issue platforms

Occupational Health promotion • 3 occupational health promotion & tobacco control guidance center • Web-based notification system of occupational disease • Improving the quality of labor health check up • Occupational professional in-service training • Health examination guidelines for potentially hazardous works

Sustainable Development –health risk assessment and management • Responsibility of “Health Risk A&M committee” , National Council for Sustainable Development , Executive Yuan • Guideline of health risk assessment • Assessment of existing laws and regulations • Surveillance of environmental chemicals/substance • Monitoring of health risk of polluted area • Collaboration and partnership
