Types of MERLOT Learning Materials Simulation: Approximates a real or imaginary experience where users' actions affect their outcomes. Users specify initial conditions that generate output dependent on those conditions. Animation: Allows users to view the dynamic and visual representation of concepts, models, processes, and/or phenomena in space or time. Users cannot specify the initial conditions or the resulting outcomes. • Tutorial • Drill and Practice • Quiz/Test • Lecture/Presentation • Case Study • Collection • Reference Material
What does MERLOT offer the Engineering Educator? • A collection of over 350 learning materials, many with peer reviews, user comments, and sample assignments - in many areas of engineering.
