2) Evaluating our own personal teacher learning needs and outlining our learning route (20m) • a) Refer to the school wheel (SIDP) and use the coloured stickers to identify an area you feel is a developed, developing or undeveloped aspect of your practice; • b) Select one of the following learning strategies in order to evaluate your personal teacher learning needs and what you can do: • Watch the video from the GTC website: • http://www.teacherlearningacademy.org.uk/Teachers/YourTLAproject/tabid/97/Default.aspx • Read the booklet relevant to your particular TLA stage. • c) Pin to the board key questions, ideas &/or concerns you currently have. • TLA “Ashlawn’s Whole-school Learning Culture ”
3) Identifying the teacher learning support mechanisms (20m) • Beyond e-mailing, an electronic forum, use of the AST/CPD library, online • links and peer lesson observations, a key support mechanism for • development of your teaching & learning will be peer-mentoring. With this in • mind: • Pair up with a peer-mentor; • Use the GROW[ER] model to identify your goal and reality; • Use the options part of the model to identify other support mechanisms which can support your teacher learning; • Look at the examples of TLA outcomes for ideas about the way-forward and final presentations. • TLA “Ashlawn’s Whole-school Learning Culture ”
