  2. C e st y 2C-B-FLY is 8-bromo-2,3,6,7-benzodihydrodifuran ethylamine. The full name of the chemical is 2- (8-bromo-2,3,6,7- tetrahydrofuro [2,3-f] [1] benzofuran-4-yl) ethanamine. It has received little formal scrutiny, but its emergence as a designer drug has led DEA to release analytical results for 2C-B-FLY and several related compounds. In theory, analogs of dihydrodifuran can be obtained from any of the 2Cx / DOx drug families and are expected to have similar activity to the parent compound. Thus, 2C-B-FLY is the dihydrodifuran analogue of 2C-B , the 8-iodine-equivalent 2C-I-FLY will be the analogue of dihydrodifuran 2C-I , and the 8-methyl-equivalent 2C-D-FLY will be the dihydrodifuran analogue 2C-D . Other related compounds can also be prepared, if the alpha carbon of the ethylamine chain is methylated, an amphetamine derivative DOB-FLY can be obtained, this compound is a dihydrodifuran analogue of DOB , or, conversely, it can be considered a saturated derivative of Bromo-DragonFLY . If only one methoxy 2Cx group is cyclized into the dihydrofuran ring, the resulting compound is called “semi-fly”, and when an unsaturated furan ring is used, the compound will be called “semi-dragonfly”. Large saturated derivatives of ring hexahydrobenzopyrines are called butterfly compounds. The 8-bromo group can also be replaced with other groups to give compounds such as TFMFly.
