PGRU Grapes and Apples: The Plan • “Bar Code” fingerprints of entire clonal collections • Committed to 6-8 SSR loci per collection, with likely progression up to 20 loci each • Simple spread sheet link for data download • Coordinated effort for grape with French collection in Montpellier and with Davis collection - with consistent “Standard Variety Reference Fingerprints” • Promised “entry page” for grape markers not unlike pea genstock site (to the extent ARS allows). (“GrainGenes” is pretty nice) • Definite movement toward SNP markers in grape
