Environment Report: Planned / Unplanned Nodal Outages • Planned Outages • 06/11/2010 • The following systems will be unavailable during the supported window in order to aid with a major system maintenance upgrade • MM UI • OS UI • EWS • Unplanned Outages • 06/02/2010 1:30 P.M. – 3:30 P.M. • MPs were unable to download AS Awards for operating day 06/03 as a result of a report posting error. • 06/03/2010 03:30 P.M. – 03:40 P.M. • Market Manager users may have experienced connectivity errors while trying to submit or query for transactions . • 06/03/2010 03:00 P.M. – 04:00 P.M • Latency with VDI notification deliveries were experienced during this time period. Known Issues • New Open Issues • NP8-143 QSE Ancillary Service Capacity Monitor (Certified Report) • New Columns being added because the Report is only displaying the Undeployed Regulation and is not capturing Total Regulation Up/Down Responsibility for the QSEs • Affects EMS and CDR • NP6-552-Group 1 and Group 2 Load Resources for RRS (Certified Report) • Duplicate reports are being created for some DUNS numbers • Affects CDR • NP8-501 Monthly Resource Energy Deployment Performance Report (Certified Report) • Additional Language is being added to the Report Info Tab to clarify that Source Data will not always be available for every resource every five minutes • Recommending code changes to appropriately account any missing intervals • Affects EDW • NP8-143-Ancillary Services Capacity Monitor (Certified Report) • Report output column names being does not match with report specifications • Specification will be updated to change the prefix from RRC to RRS for the following columns: RRC_GEN_RES / RRC_LOAD_RES_WO_CLR / RRC_CLR • Affects CDR http://nodal.ercot.com 6

Known Issues Recently Closed Issues • DST - CDR report of Market Infor: LoadRatioShares • Issue resolved for CDR where DST-CDR: CDR report of Market Info LoadRatioShares was missing HourEnding 02:00 and has duplicated HourEnding 04:00 when DeliveryDate is short day (CST->CDT) • MIS Notices Tab is Returning an ERROR Message • Issue resolved for MIS where list of reports was not displaying when user clicked upon the Notices tab • MW values in CDR reports contain multiple decimal points • Issue resolved in EWSMIR where MW values in CDR reports contained multiple decimal points but needed to contain single decimal points to prevent rounding errors in reports pulled through External Web Services (EWS) • Resolution aligned MW values between reports obtained via either MIS or EWS http://nodal.ercot.com 7

SPP during LFC Test on May 20th SPP during LFC Test on May 20th • System was under full nodal control from 11:55 A.M. to 12:25 P.M. • Two constraints were binding/violated during test • Contingency loss of double circuit line from Green Bayou to Gable street and Hardy to Crocket overloading Garrott to Midtown 138 kV line • Contingency loss of one Bellaire 345/138kV Transformer overloading other Bellaire 345/138kV Transformer • Constraints were in Houston area causing price separation in Houston. • Negative prices were in non load buses causing the Houston Load Zone price to be nearly $40 higher than the Houston Hub price • For example for 5/20/2010 12:15 interval • Price ranged from $ 310.87 ( Resource Nodes @ WAP) to $ -104.18 (Resource Node @ BVE_CC1) • Houston Hub price was $-3.44 • Houston Load Zone price was $36.21
