  1. Item #1 PCB and PBDE loads at Mallard Island on the Sacramento River:WYs 2002 - 2006 John Oram, Jon Leatherbarrow, and Lester McKee Sources Pathways and Loadings Workgroup November 13th 2006

  2. Item #1 PCBs and PBDEs at Mallard Island MODIS 250km True Color Image | January 9, 2006

  3. Item #1 Modified Methods for PBDEs and PCBs • Use SSC data from USGS from 1995 to present • Not applicable for PCBs and PBDEs • 2. Use instantaneous SSC and contaminant data • to develop a regression relationship (WY 2005-2006) • Estimate 15 minute contaminant concentrations • Calculate daily average concentrations • Use linear interpolation to fill data gaps • Regression not valid, use FWMC • 6. Combine estimated daily concentrations with • Delta Outflow to estimate daily advective loads • Correct loads for the effect of tidal influence • and dispersion

  4. Item #1 PCBs

  5. Item #1 PBDEs

  6. Item #1 PCBs vs SSCWY 02-06 No Significant Relationship  Will Use FWMC Instead.

  7. Item #1 PBDEs vs SSCWY 04-06 No Significant Relationship  Will Use FWMC Instead.

  8. Item #1

  9. Item #1 Flow Weighted Mean Concentrations

  10. Item #1 Loads

  11. Item #1 Estimating Historic Loads by Linear Regression with Discharge

  12. Item #1 Historic Load Estimates

  13. Item #1 How did WY05 & WY06 compare to previous years? Annual Discharge (Mm3) Min = 3055 (WY77) Max = 79269 (WY83) Mean = 23508 WY06 = 50721 WY05 = 18588
