North Carolina MWBE Coordinators’ Network 22nd Annual Professional Development & Training Conference Network Idol FundraisingCompetition November 12, 2008 6:00 pm NETWORK IDOL “CALL BACKS” The producers of Network Idol along with your Network President, wish to congratulate you! As a member of NCCN, you have been chosen to perform at the Network Idol competition at this year’s Annual Conference.
HOW IT WORKS While our producers know that everyone in the organization is super talented, we realize that there are some of you who would rather not perform. Therefore, in a effort to raise money for the Network Fundraising Campaign, any individual on the “call back” list may remove themselves from the list by donating the associated “performance fee” to the fundraising campaign. Likewise, if there are other individuals who are counting on seeing YOU perform, they may raise your “performance fee” in $5.00 increments. At that point, you have the option of paying the increased fee to opt out of a performance, OR WE’LL SEE YOU ON STAGE!!!!
FAQs How do I know if I’m on the “call back” list? If you are a current Network member, you are currently on the “call back” list and scheduled to perform at the competition. To view the “call back” list and associated performance fees, click here. How are performance fees calculated? Performance fees for each Network member start at $20.00. However, your colleagues can raise your performance fee in $5.00 increments if they are particularly anxious to see you perform. I have terrible stage fright, how do I get off the list and avoid performing? You opt-out of an Idol performance by paying your way off the “call back” list. If you don’t want to perform, you’d better hurry and pay your performance fee before one of your colleagues (who wants to see you in the spotlight) donates to the campaign and raises your performance fee. Those individuals left on the “call back” list on November 3rd, will be our performers at the competition. To view the “call back” list and associated performance fees, click here. Do I have to sing? Absolutely NOT! Participants are welcome to perform in any way they choose. Singing, dancing, acting, comedy, group performances, juggling, spoken word, etc.
FAQs I want to make sure a colleague performs. How do I do that? NCCN members can ensure that certain individuals have to perform by “raising the stakes" (their performance fee). You are allowed to raise a colleague’s performance fee in $5.00 increments. Use the Raise the Stakes form and submit to Matthew Idiculla, with a check for the correct amount. I am unable to attend this year’s Conference, do I still have to pay my performance fee? Yes, in support of the Network Fundraising Campaign we ask that individuals not attending the Conference still donate their performance fee to the campaign. Will we have music to accompany any vocal performance? We will have a karaoke technician/DJ on site with all the necessary equipment to accompany participants during their performances. You are welcome to perform a capella if your specific song selection is unavailable. Still have questions? Contact Patrice Gilmore, Network Idol Producer, at patrice.gilmore@bovislendlease.com or 919.395.5631 for more information.
Again, on behalf of the producers of Network Idol and your Network President, thank you in advance for your generous support!!! Now go dust off those vocal chords and dancing shoes… WE’LL SEE YOU IN THE SPOTLIGHT!!!
