Outreach Techniques:Marketing Strategies • This presentation will explore various marketing strategies currently being utilized by CPGTSP providers as a method to welcoming Problem Gamblers as well as Affected Individuals into treatment.
Outreach Techniques:Marketing Strategies • Focused Learning: • Name 3 marketing strategies presented today which you can successfully utilize this week. • Identify marketing strategies that specifically target the Affected Individuals. • Understanding that YOU are the key to being successful, and that networking in your communities is important.
What I Currently Do • Connect w/Prospective Clients ASAP!! • Return phone calls or emails immediately!! • Your Website – • It is a great tool!! • Have your website reflect who you are and list all the services you provide, including your status as a CPGTSP provider. Highlight FREE sessions are available! • Keywords: gambler, problem gambler, gambling services, gambling help…
What I Currently Do • Networking - The BEST Way to Reach Out • Get out of your office to meet and greet, EVERYONE! • Explain that those who love the problem gambler can also receive support – this is key! • Personally make contact with ALL the people in your community, people who provide a service or not: • Attorneys, Doctors, Clergy, Store clerks, Restaurant servers, auto mechanics, hair dressers, nail salons – EVERYONE you meet! • Peers/colleagues: We all have strengths to share! • Word of Mouth: Happy clients like to tell others! • Clients talk about how WE can help others.
Other ideas… • Attend GAM-Anon as an observer • Attend GA as an observer • Lecture at religious centers, schools, community events… • Advertise in local papers, religious center newsletters, hang fliers… • Go to local businesses and hand out brochures, business cards, fliers…
