a)AIMS Overview • AIMS is a resource that provides reference information in standards, methodologies and tools. • Facilitated by FAO of the United Nations ; • AIMS collaborates with number of partners and supports the CIARD Movement.
b)AIMS core pillars • Community of Practice -as a community AIMS provides an open environment to keep users informed of latest news, allows interaction and support. • Capacity Development -build the technical capacity of individuals/national and international institutions in Open Access and Open Data Projects in the agricultural domain • Directory of Resources -resource discovery is achieved through the VEST Directory which is aligned to the CIARD RING
AIMS Community of Practice (2) AIMS CoP allows users to:- • Learn about information management resources • Connect with other community members and share experiences; • Follow trends • Post and Participate in and share topics of interest to the community.
d)Organization of content on AIMS • AIMS Content is organized around the AIMS Taxonomies. The most evident ones is the, AIMS Areas of Interest

g) Contributing your content to AIMS • AIMS allows all community members to get involved by sharing their stories, experiences and news. • This can be done through:- (i) Posting a blog on AIMS, (ii) Participating in the AIMS Group of Interests (iii) Adding AIMS Twitter account on your twits @AIMS_Community
Creating Blogs to AIMS Once logged in to your account, you will see:- Choose ‘POST’
i)Further ways of using AIMS CoP • Use AIMS CoP as a reference point for your own group discussion • Use AIMS Capacity Development Activities as a core talking points for local solutions • Share on AIMS your experiences in information management. • Spread the word on AIMS Resources
