Recent Alliance In November 2004 Control Microsystems and Serck Controls formed an alliance that includes the mandate for Control Microsystems to sell and support ClearSCADA and other Serck developed hardware products around the globe. Serck Controls - engineering service company with field proven products. Control Microsystems - product company with strong brand, SCADA experience and established channels.
ClearSCADA Intro. • More than just a communication server, ClearSCADA is an integration platform, automation software, data analysis package, HMI and more. • The platform offers: • Integrated Web-Server • Seamless redundancy and reliability • Historian • Configuration tools: Object orientated, templates, symbols, drag & drop • Productivity tools: trends, reports, lists • Full suite of standard protocols • IEC 61131 logic • Native support of CMI products
Open Standards • OPC Data Access • OPC Historic • OPC Alarm & Events • ODBC • OLE/DB • HTTP/XML • Visual Basic For Applications
A comprehensive security model allows flexible assignment of login access and privileges. User access level and types can be defined for ViewX, WebX or remote users including group association such as “operators”, “engineers”, or “administration”. For each object in the database permissions are set for users and groups, thus defining the features available to each group. Exclusive access to database areas ranging from the entire database to single objects is possible. The WebX server supports SSL in conjunction with the built in model. System Security
Distributed redundant servers with bump-less automatic transfer of configuration and historic data (Dual and Triple Redundancy). Performance Firewall / Permanent Standby Server for large systems with many clients. ViewX client automatically attaches to the most network efficient database server in a redundant system. Dual network redundancy. Efficient bandwidth usage from Kbyte to Gbyte redundancy links. Redundancy
Object Orientated • Objects represent all points, devices and sites. • Once defined, database can be used in templates and subsequently appear in all instances. • Object Properties: OPC based structure, contains all information related to the object. • Any number of database objects can be part of a complex template (e.g. substation), including nested template instances. • Apply global changes easily and efficiently by modifying the template. Changes automatically update in instances. • SCADA controls and actions are easily associated with objects and mimics for operators to perform tasks without additional programming.
Supports an array of standard protocols including Modbus and DNP3.0 Supports Ethernet based network protocol communications including, Modbus/TCP, DNP3.0 TCP/IP and SNMP. New protocols added using software developer kit. Device communication redundancy utilizing any medium: cabled, wireless, dialup. Time stamping and unsolicited event reporting is natively supported. Supports extended communication facilities including multiple communication connections using different mediums and protocols. Communications
Components • Configures the connections between ViewX and Database Servers. • Online documentation describing ClearSCADA functionality and operation • Provides functionality for license implementation • Provides access to Server configuration and Registers • Server Start and stop function. • ClearSCADA user friendly database viewer and configuration including WebX interface using standard web technology.
Connections • Allows Connections to be made between ViewX and System Servers. • For each system four possible connections can be defined. The most efficient is used. • Allows for ViewX/Server Timeout options, TCP/IP tuning and licensing.
Configuration • Systems can be setup to operate in a manner best suited for the application. • The type of information available for configuration is varied, falling into the following categories: • Database Configuration - items relating to database structure. • Global Parameters - related to driver properties. • System Configuration - related to properties of the system. • Registers - a list of registers created and used by the server and ViewX.
Service Manager • ClearSCADA Services can be shut down and started from this window.
Full configuration from anywhere on the LAN/WAN (with Security). Seamless access to multiple servers and multiple systems. Access segmentation based on user log-in and security. ViewX does not utilize a local data base copy – all configuration changes are communicated to the data base on the server(s). Client side scripting. ViewX can connect to multiple Server Systems. ViewX
True online configuration – no need to shut down and recompile. Configuration from any ViewX client using appropriate security access. Configuration changes appear instantly on all clients automatically. Concurrent configuration by multiple users. Advanced configuration tools provide reduced cost in system deployment and maintenance by re-using common configuration items (animated symbols template and instances, embedded mimics). ViewX cont..

Mimics • Displays Static Objects and Dynamic Database Information. • Integrated functionally to other ViewX Facilities using ‘Pick Actions’ • Create Symbol libraries for dynamic mimic reuse. • Pan and zoom with de-clutter • Mimic, Graph and List Linking • Multiple layers
Trends & Graphs • High performance long term historian – built in to ClearSCADA • OPC historic data access • Aggregate displays & automatic calculations • Pan & zoom navigation • Intelligent axes and markers • Ruler • Annotations • Modify, insert and delete • Cut and paste into clipboard
Alarms • Alarm list: • Full screen alarm view • OPC alarm and event compliant • Alarm banner: • Permanently displayed (optional) • Configurable columns, colours and priority
Lists • Live tabular display of data • Flat alternative to the hierarchical navigator • Lists can be filtered and sorted • Present live data and are dynamic
IEC 61131-3 Logic • Graphical and textual programming facility: • Function Block Diagrams (FBD) • Structured Text (ST) • Structured Function Charts (SFC) • Ladder Diagrams (LD) • Integrated into templates. • On-line debugger. • Applications: • Custom calculations • Automated processing • Alarm management • Support software Librariesfor code re-use.
Configuration tools that provide time saving configuration methods using templates and instances. Fast configuration of multiple sites or processes that share properties. Templates can be nested so you can uniquely structure projects. A group of objects can be copied and reused for multiple instances with similar characteristics. Significantly reduces deployment time and cost. Templates & Instances
