  4. Lithuanian district heating sector 2007 District heating cover ~50% national heat demand and ~70% in cities • Consumption: 8 TWh • Production: 9.7 TWh • HOB 3.9 TWh • CHP 3.9 TWh • Other 1.9 TWh • Consumers structure: • Households: 72 % • Governmental org.: 13 % • Industry: 7 % • Other: 8 %

  6. Renewable in Lithuanian heat sector • Biomass (2007): ~200 HOB, 416 MW • Geothermal plant: 1 unit (35 MW) but does not work • Solar: very few Renewable for DH 2007: Wood 96% Straw, biogas 3% Geothermal 2%
