4. UGC NET Eligibility Criteria Educational Criteria The candidates must have completed the post-graduation degree from the UGC approved universities with more than 55% aggregate marks. There will be some relaxation of 5% marks (50% marks required) for the reserved category candidates. The candidates are advised to choose the UGC NET subject for paper 2 same as their post-graduation subject. 5. Age Limit Criteria There is no age limit for the aspirants appearing for assistant professor posts. If the candidates want to apply for NET JRF, the age must be below 30 years. The reserved category candidates can avail the benefits of reservation.
