Test Methods & Evaluation Procedures:What’s the difference? • Evaluation Procedures define procedures that are used by multiple TMs. • For example, multiple TMs for colorfastness employ Gray Scale for Color Change assessment. • EP 1 and EP7 are the procedures for Gray Scale for Color Change assessment. • Test Methods define a process for measuring performance or functionality. TMs do not define the value that is “passing” or acceptable. That is up to the contractual parties.
