  4. Popular Foods •Chow mein – fried noodles with meat or rice •Shui Jiao – boiled dumplings with pork/ vegetables •Ji si tang mian – fish soup with vegtables

  5. Holidays •Spring Festival is a month long festival celebrating spring break for everyone. •Ghost month is celebrated in October to honor the dead spirits. •Lantern Festival is celebrated on February 6 and everyone hangs lanterns on their houses, cars, etc.

  6. Popular Sports • Basketball - most popular and played sport • Baseball- 2nd most popular sport in Taiwan. Taiwan has 6 baseball teams.

  7. Religion • Believed in Buddhism, Taoism, and folk religions •Believe that gods were people from the past that were once alive •Buddhism is the most common religion out of the 26 in Taiwan

  8. Exports • Taiwan is the most largest supplier of contract computer of chip manufacturing • The U.S. is Taiwan’s 3rd largest trading partner • China is Taiwan’s largest import and export partner
