Percent • The ratio of a number to 100. • Can be converted to a fraction or to a decimal.
To convert a % into a Decimal… Move the decimal over two spots to the left and drop the %
Write as a decimal:0.5% = 00000 0.005
To convert the % into a fraction... Drop the percent sign put the number over 100 and reduce if possible
