  2. James Robert Cade’s Child Hood • James Robert Cade was born in San Antonio, Texas. That is also where he grew up. He enjoyed music and could play the violin. He also liked to ride his bike. • By The time He was In high school, he was on the track team. He made a good time on the mile. • Robert had a little sister named Thelma. She could play piano. They would play together to show friends and family.

  3. Important People in his life. • Mary Strasburger Cade: was his Wife, she also gave the idea to use lemon juice. • Ray Graves: was the Gators Head Coach, helped distribute to the players • Michael Jordan: he was the spokesperson for them which made the business BOOM, Just because everyone wanted to be just like him.

  4. Other Challenges he faced. • Off the field, Dr. Cade faced more complicated challenges. When he first approached university officials about marketing the drink, they declined. So he sold the formula to Stokely-Van Camp. The deal gave him and his associates a cut of the royalties. A few years later, when these reached $200,000, Florida Trend said, the university noticed. • After a 31-month legal battle, the parties settled. The product was later sold to Quaker Oats. which merged with Pepsico, and royalties continued to flow to Dr. Cade’s group and the university. He donated some of his to the university.

  5. The flavors of Gatorade. • The original Gatorade flavor was lemon lime. • there has been a total of thirty two flavors of Gatorade. • The most popular flavor is glacier freeze. It was the only Gatorade flavor that hasn’t been discontinued since the founding of Gatorade.

  6. The Gatorade dunk! • The Gatorade dunk was introduced when a angry player was mad at his coach and decided to get pay back on his coach bill Parcells. • Since then the Gatorade dunk has been a celebration of victorious teams.

  7. The New Series. • The Gatorade company has introduced a few new lines of Gatorade products.. • One is g2, G2 is Gatorade but with less calories and the liquid is thinner so therefor you can drink more. • Another one is the new gummy. You eat them 15 minutes before you have a game or work out and it improves your performance.
