  1. ACTION PLAN Miss Farida Zahid The City School Darakshan Campus Jr. A Science Grade III-N

Long Term Goals: • Adopt 21st century teaching approaches to enhance student’s knowledge of science. • To prepare an implementation plan for students which will make them grasp all scientific methods for permanent basis. • To make students excel in the subject of Science. • To promote the talent of student who possess command over the subject so that their interests are given way for success.

  3. Short Term Goals: • To adopt students’ centered approach. • Focus on encouraging students instead of praising them. • To make students more confident and more independent. • To empower students’ creativity. • Provide students with more choices of processes, products and contents in projects. • Critical thinking will be promoted.

  4. Instructional strategies and tasks: • I will apply 21st century teaching approaches because in this strategy road learning is less and much more brain storming is included. • Use of technology will be adopted in order to develop a deeper sense of understanding within the students • I will ask questions that require students to think more creatively rather then to just follow the given instructions. • Different aspects of the subject will be focused so all the aspects of the subject are highlighted.

Solutions to anticipated challenges: Solutions: I will set up the schedule and implement them in accordance with the time line I’ll stay after school and work in school’s lab for more guidelines Challenges: • It is possible that students might not get enough time to complete the assigned work on time • Some of the students might not have the internet facilities

  6. Timeline I will positively adopt 21st century teaching and student centered approaches in my teaching profession I will focus on giving directions January August In these months I will work on students’ creativity so that they can do their work independently I will focus on encouraging skills and will push students to do lots of creative work March October

  8. Conclusion By implementing my newly acquired 21st century teaching approaches. Students will be empowered and will appreciate and gain a better knowledge of science.
