Lafarge Ambitions in Health • Meet our 2012 Sustainable Development Commitments • Establish a comprehensive Group-wide occupational health program including as a minimum regular medical examinations • For HIV/AIDS and malaria, our best practice currently implemented in Africa to be extended to major emerging countries 2010: China, Russia, Ukraine • Continue to follow-up our HIV and malaria roadmaps in Sub-Saharan Africa and extend to more stakeholders • Example: Benin’s local communities

Where do we stand? • A Sub-Saharan region (10 countries) well-advanced with: • 12 HIV/AIDS programs in place • 9 Malaria programs in place • Positive results: • Mortality among African employees was divided by more than 2 between 2003 and 2008 • Absenteeism due to malaria has decreased in several countries (e.g. 41% Reduction in Benin) • Health is a significant part of Africa region budget in 2010 (€ 8 million) • Ambition to extend these good practices throughout the Group: • 2008-2009: Public Health guide • Training module is being developed by Q1 2010 and extended in China, Russia and Ukraine by the end of 2010

GBC support – European office • Renew our partnership in 2009 • Former Lafarge CEO Bertrand Collomb stepped down as GBC Chairman • Current CEO, Bruno Lafont, joined the CAB • GBC support at the Group level • European Malaria platform • Networking with other companies • Special guest for our World AIDS Day in Paris • Link to local GBC offices: Russia/Ukraine, China • Support our local BUs for their Public Health programs • Build a training module • Be part of our training session as the Health expert • Support our local BU to set up and implement programs

From an African to a Global concern: Moving ahead in public health Based on the African success, at the end of 2010, Lafarge Russia, Ukraine and China will: • Have a Health committee: • Executive Committee of each BU is appointing people after their own training done at the Group level by the VP Health doctor • Be trained on Public Health program methodology: • Support is being developed at Group level • Russia GBC office to propose a few ways they could help our Ukraine and Russian BUs (more or less participative) • Identify its public health issues locally (HIV,malaria,tuberculosis, etc.) • During and after the training with the help of the GBC office • Build an action plan and allocate budget to be able to start working on a program in 2011 • During and after the training with the help of the local GBC office
