One Academic Fair Timeline 2011-2012 SRT ELEMENTARY & MIDDLE SCHOOL FAIRS December 1-4 Deadline Send Dates of Local School, SRT and OHS One Academic Fairs to Committee Deadline All school-based One Academic Fairs should be completed. Who participates? • Students grades 3-12 may participate in the Technology division. • Projects may be individual or teams of two (2) persons. • There are 12 categories to choose from to enter. • The first place winner(s) of each category by grade level will go to state.
What is a project? • Designed and created by students • No notebook or display board • Sources must be cited • Internet access may not be available • Project should be able to run without connectivity • Students should prepare a 10 minute presentation of their project
How is it judged?-1 • Judged on: • Originality • Clarity • Documentation • Appropriateness • Design
How is it judged?-2 • Demonstrates an understanding of the software • Explains the various aspects of the creation process • Defends choice of software • Answers judges’ question
