Performance Evaluation • Performance of a graduate student is his/her academic performance measured through his/her Grade Point Average (GPA) and teaching assistantship (TA) performance measured through student evaluations and evaluation by the course instructor. • Academic Performance • If 3.50>GPA≥3.00, then no measure is taken as a result of the academic performance. • If GPA≥3.50, then an upgrade in the TA assignment might be made, if the student is not already at the highest level of scholarship. • If GPA<3.00, then a downgrading in the TA assignment of the student is considered. • Teaching Assistantship Performance The TA performance of each graduate student with a TA assignment is evaluated in a joint meeting of the Faculty and a decision is reached, which together with the academic performance of the student might contribute to an upgrading or downgrading of the TA assignment.
