Number of Accounts Information • KDPW Participants (banks and brokers) report the number of operated securities accounts on a monthlybasis. • The NationalDepositorycompilesinformationabout the number of accountsoperated by Participants. • Data arepublishedincluding a pressrelease and detailedstatisticsavailable on the websitewww.kdpw.pl

  3. Number of Accounts, 2004-2011 The number of securities accounts on the Polish market hasnearlydoubled in the lasteightyears. Therewereover1,525 thousandaccountsat the end of October 2011. The number of accountshasincreased by 48 thousandyear to date in 2011. The highestmonthlyincrease by nearly27 thousandaccountstook place in June. Source: KDPW, based on information from Participants.   4. Big PrivatisationsAttract New Investors The number of accountsincreasessharplyat the time of big privatisations. In 2010, the year of big privatisationprojects, nearly350 thousandnewaccountswereopened. The biggestincrease in the number of securities accounts in the past yearstook place at the time of the IPO of PZU. The number of accountsincreased by 140 thousandwithin one month.
