  2. City information St. Petersburg is a relatively young city, with a little over three hundred years of history. However, in these three centuries of rapid growth and development, St. Petersburg has forged its own path, evolving into a timeless city, inimitable in its beauty and harmony. For more than 200 years, it was the resplendent capital of the great Russian Empire, and remains the country's cultural and spiritual centre to this day. St. Petersburg is famous for its “white nights” in May, June and July when the sun almost never goes down. That period is traditionally is a high tourist season with respectively high rates for hotel accommodation (starting from 200$). The average daily temperature in June is +20 °C (70 °F).

Information Support and Accreditation Procedure for APEC Economies • Newsletters – additional relevant information for APEC participants, • will be distributed via DLOs. • Letter of Notification – containing the private login and password necessary for on-line accreditation – will be sent to each Delegation’s Accreditation Officer (DAO) • Newsletter №1 – information about the suggested hotels and hotel reservation deadlines • Newsletter №2 –Host Economy Liaison Officer (HELO) contact information • Newsletter №3 – information about cultural activities for APEC participants

Information Support and Accreditation Procedure for APEC Economies • Final Newsletter – relevant information about onsite accreditation, access to meetings, transportation, weather, APEC Planning Team contact information • Confirmation Letter – name list of the accredited participants of each APEC Economy will be sent to DAOs
