  2. Translation 我宁可乘出租车回家，也不愿意走着回家。 Rather than walking home/going home on foot, I would like to take a taxi. 我认为与其说他是老师更大程度上不如说是为朋友。 I think he is a friend rather than a teacher.

  3. Translation 校长的儿子从不把自己看作是一个特殊的学生。 The son of the president never sees himself as a special student. 任何情况下都不能把自己看成是没用的人。 Don’t see yourself as a useless person in any case.

  4. Translation 邓小平这个名字已经和中国的改革联系在一起了。 The name Deng Xiaoping has been associated with China’s reform. 工人们已经把效率与金钱联系起来了。 The workers have associated efficiency with money.

A pair of boots is all that he wants. More than one person has protested against the proposal.

A number of my friends think I should take a holiday. All the sick have been taken care of by the nurses. More than a thousand inhabitants have signed the petition.

  15. Grammar Grammar on agreement • 并列主语为either…or; neither …nor; not…but; not only…but also等并列连词结构或there be 句型时，谓语动词的形式与采取就近原则，即与最近的主语一致。 e.g. She thought you or your husband was angry at this. There are two books and a pen on the desk. There is a pen and two books on the desk.
