Standard • ELA2W2: The student writes in a variety of genres, including narrative, informational, persuasive, and response to literature
Essential Question • A club is forming at school for Heroes Only. You know that a hero possesses certain character traits and you have one or more of these traits. You know that a hero can be anyone, not just a person with super powers. You will need to write a paper convincing the committee that you should be allowed to join this club. What are you going to write? Why should it be important for all people to possess one or more of the character traits?

A Hero Is In YOU!!! In your Hero Journal, write the character traits you think you have and how you show those character traits. After you have written the character traits you possess, write a letter to the Hero Club President and tell them why you should be allowed to join the Hero Club. Don’t forget to include your picture!! You can draw a picture of yourself or bring in a picture. We want to see the Hero in YOU!!!
