40 Important Supplications/Duas For Kids Allah says in Surah Baqarah, verse 186: ” I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me.” Supplication and duas are some of the most essential things that Muslims can use in their everyday life. It is imperative for kids to start learning duas at a young age, so that they can begin to implement them and get used to them early on in life. There are also 6 kalmay that kids can learn that are highly beneficial. The importance of duas cannot be overstated. These are some of the most important supplications for kids: After waking up شـُّنلا هيلإَو انـَتامَأَ ام َدـْعَب انايـْحَأَ يذّلا ِهّلِل ُدـْمَحلا All praise is for Allah who gave us life after having taken it from us and unto Him is the resurrection. Before using the toilet هللا ِمْسِب ثِئِابَخْلاَو ِثْبـُخْلا َنـِم َكـِب ُذوـعَأَ يـِّنِإ َّمـُهّللا ( ) (In the name of Allah). O Allah, I take refuge with you from all evil and evil-doers.
When exiting the toilet كَنارـْفُغ I ask You (Allah) for forgiveness. When wearing clothes ةّوـق لاَو يّنِم ٍلوَح ِرـْيـَغ ْنِم هينَقَزَرَو ) بوّثلا ( اذه يناسَك يذّلا ِهلل ُدمحلا All Praise is for Allah who has clothed me with this garment and provided it for me, with no power nor might from myself. When wearing new clothes اـم ِّرـَشَو ِهِّرـَش ْنـِم َكِب ُذوعَأََو ،هـَل َعِنُص اَم ِرْيـَخَو ِهِريـَخ َعِنُص ُهـَل ْنـِم َكـُلَأَْسَأَ ،ِهينَتْوـَسَك َتـْنأَ ُدـْمـَحلا َكـَل َّمـُهّللا O Allah, for You is all praise, You have clothed me with it (i.e. the garment), I ask You for the good of it and the good for which it was made, and I seek refuge with You from the evil of it and the evil for which it was made. When you see someone else wearing new clothes ىلاَعَت ُهللا ُفِلْخـُيَو يلـْبُت May you wear it out and Allah replace it (with another).’ The intended meaning: A supplication for long life.
Upon leaving home هللاِب ّلاِإ َةَّوـُق َلْوَح لاَو لاَو ِهللا ىلَع ُتـْلَّكَوَت ، ِهللا ِمْسِب In the name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah, and there is no might nor power except with Allah. Upon entering home انـْلّكَوَت اـنِّبَر ىـلَعَو ،اـنْجَرـَخ ِهللا ِمـْسِبَو ،اـنْجَلَو ِهللا ِمـْسِب In the name of Allah, we enter and in the name of Allah, we leave, and upon our Lord, we place our trust. While visiting the ill لا َءاَش ْنِإ ٌ رْوُهَط َسْأََب لا Never mind, may it (the sickness) be a purification, if Allah wills. َكْيِفْشَي ْنَأَ ِمْيِظَعلا ِشْرَعلا َّبَر ،َمْيِظَعلا َهَّللا ُلَأَْسَأَ I ask Allah The Supreme, Lord of the magnificent throne to cure you. (7 times) When it rains ًاعِفاَن ًابِّيَص َّمهَّللا O Allah, may it be a beneficial rain cloud.
When you hear thunder ِهِتَفْيِخ ْنِم ُةَكِئِلاَملاَو ،ِهِدْمَحِب ُدْعَّرلا ُحِّبَسُي يِذَّلا َناحْبُس How perfect He is, (The One) Whom the thunder declares His perfection with His praise, as do the angles out of fear of Him. When it rains too much رَجَّشلا ِتِبانَمَو ،ِةَيِدْوَلأَا ِنْوُطُبَو ،ِباَرِّظلاَو ِماَكلآا ىَلَع َّمهَّللا ،اَنْيَلَع لاَو اَنْيَلاَوَح َّمهَّلل O Allah, let the rain fall around us and not upon us, O Allah, (let it fall) on the pastures, hills, valleys and the roots of trees. Before eating ُهْنِم اَنْمِعْطَأََو ًارْيَخ ِهْيِف اَنَل ْكِراَب َّمهَّللا O Allah, bless it for us and feed us better than it. Before eating (if Bismillah is forgotten) ِهِرِخآَو ِهِلَّوَأَ يِف ِهَّللا ِمْسِب In the name of Allah in its beginning and end. Before drinking milk ُهْنِم اَنْدِزَو ِهْيِف اَنَل ْكِراَب َّمهَّللا O Allah, bless it for us and give us more of it. After finishing a meal اَنُّبَر ُهْنَع ًىنْغَتْسُم عَّدَوُم ٍ لاَو ّيِفْكَم ٍ لاَو َرْيَغ ،ِهْيِف ً اكَراَبُم ابِّيَط ً ً ارْيِثَك ً ادْمَح ِهلل ُدْمَحلا Allah be praised with an abundant beautiful blessed praise. He is The One Who is sufficient, feeds and is not fed. The One Who is longed for, along with that which is with Him and The One Who is needed, He is our Lord. By the guest, for the host
ْمُهْمَحْراَو ْمُهَل ْرِفْغاَو ،ْمُهَتْقَزَر اَمْيِف ْمُهَل ْكِراَب َّمهَّللا O Allah, bless for them, that which You have provided them, forgive them and have mercy upon them. When seeing the early or premature fruit اَنِّدُم يِف اَنَل ْكِراَبَو ،اَنِعاَص يِف اَنَل ْكِراَبَو ،اَنِتَنْيِدَم يِف اَنَل ْكِراَبَو ،اَنِرَمَث يِف اَنَل ْكِراَب َّمهَّللا O Allah, bless our fruit for us, bless our town for us, bless our saa for us and bless our mudd for us.’ (Forms of measurement: A saa is equivalent to four mudds; a mudd is equivalent to the measure of an average man’s two palms.) Sneezing When you sneeze: ِهلل ُدْمَحلا All praise is for Allah. When you hear someone else sneeze: ُهَّللا َكُمَحْرَي May Allah have mercy upon you. Reply by sneezer for the above dua: ْمُكَلاَب ُحِلْصُيَو ُهَّللا ُمُكْيِدْهَي May Allah guide you and rectify your condition. During moments of anger ِمْيِجَّرلا ِناَطْيَّشلا َنِم ِهَّللاِب ُذْوُعَأَ I take refuge with Allah from the accursed devil. Dua for forgiveness at the conclusion of a gathering (and upon leaving a gathering) َكْيَلِإ ُبْوُتَأََو َكُرِفْغَتْسَأَ َتْنَأَ َهَلِإ َّلاِإ لا ْنَأَ ُدَهْشَأَ ،َكِدْمَحِبَو َّمهَّللا َكَناَحْبُس How perfect You are O Allah, and I praise You. I bear witness that None has the right to be worshipped except You. I seek Your forgiveness and turn to You in repentance.
To thank someone ارْيَخ ُهَّللا َكاَزَج May Allah reward you with goodness. For one who proclaims his love for you for Allah’s sake ُهَل يِنَتْبَبْحَأَ يِذَّلا َكَّبَحَأَ May He, for whom you have loved me, love you. Upon mounting any kind of transport ُدـْمَحلا ْرِفـْغاَف ،نوبِلَقـنُمَل يسْفَن انِّبَر ىلِإ يّنِإ ،نينِرـْقُم اّنِإَو َكَناحْبـُس َّمـُهّللا ُهَل اّنُك ،رَبـْكأَ َبونُّذلا ّلاِإ امَو اذه ُرـِفْغَي انَل َرـَّخَس ُهللا ُهَّنِإَِف لا يذّلا ،رَبـْكأَ ،يل َناحْبـُس ُهللا ،هلل ُدـْمَحلا ،هلل ُدـْمَحْلاَو ،هلل ِهللا ُدـْمَحلا ِمـْسِب ،هلل ُتْمـَلَظ ُهللا ،رَبـْكأَ تـْنَأَ In the name of Allah and all praise is for Allah. How perfect He is, the One Who has placed this (transport) at our service and we ourselves would not have been capable of that, and to our Lord is our final destiny. All praise is for Allah, All praise is for Allah, All praise is for Allah, Allah is the greatest, Allah is the greatest, Allah is the greatest. How perfect You are, O Allah, verily I have wronged my soul, so forgive me, for surely none can forgive sins except You. While entering the market/mall َوهَو ُرْيـَخْلا ِهِدـَيِب ،توـمَي لا ٌّيَح ُتـيمُيَو َوُهَو يـيْحُي ريدق ،دـْمَحلا ّلك ٍءيش ُهلو ىلع ُكـْلُملا ُهل ،ُهل َكيرش لا ُهَدحو هّللا َهلإ ّلاإ لا None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone, without partner, to Him belongs all sovereignty and praise. He gives life and causes death, and He is living and does not die. In His hand is all good and He is over all things, omnipotent. Upon receiving good news تاحِلاـّصلا ُّمـِتَت ِهِتَمْعـِنِب يذَّلا ِهلل ُدـْمَحْلا All Praise is for Allah by whose favor good works are accomplished. Upon receiving bad news لاح ِّلـُك ىلع ِهلل ُدـْمَحْلا All Praise is for Allah in all circumstances. When you hear a rooster, donkey or dog مـيجَّرلا ِناطـْيَّشلا َنِم ِهللاِب ُذوـعَأَ
I seek refuge with Allah from the accursed Shaytaan. When in fear of people َتْئِْش امِب ْمِهيِنِفْكا َّمُهَّللا O Allah, protect me from them with what You choose. When feeling pain تارم ُرِذاَحُأََو – عبس ُدِجَأَ اَم ِّرَش ْنَم ِهِتَرْدُقَو ِهللاب ُذوُعَأَ ( ًاثلاَث ) ِهللا ِمْسِب Place your hand at the site of the pain and say: In the name of Allah (3 times). Then supplicate seven times: I take refuge in Allah and within His omnipotence from the evil that I feel and am wary of. When things become difficult لاْهَس َتْئِْش اَذِإ َنَزَحلا ُلَعْجَت َتْنَأََو ،ًلاْهَس ُهَتلَعَج اَم َلْهَس َّلاِإ لا َّمهَّللا O Allah, there is no ease except in that which You have made easy, and You make the difficulty, if You wish, easy. Upon seeing a dream If anyone sees a good dream, he should only relate it to those whom he loves. َنِم ِهللاِب ُذوـعَأَ If anyone sees a bad dream, he should spit towards his left side three times and then say ِناطـْيَّشلا مـيجَّرلا and turn to the opposite side from the one he was sleeping on previously. He should not narrate the dream to anyone. Dua for studying اًمْلِع ْيِنْدِز ِّبَر O Allah, increase me in knowledge. When opening the fast ُهَّللا َءاَش ْنِإ ُرْجَلأَا َتَبَثَو ُقوُرُعْلا ِتَّلَتْباَو ُأََمَّظلا َبَهَذ Thirst has gone, the arteries are moist, and the reward is sure, if Allah wills. When commencing the fast َناَضَمَر ِرْهَش ْنِم ُتْيَوَّن ٍدَغ ِمْوَصِبَو I intend to keep the fast for tomorrow in the month of Ramadan Before sleeping Recite the last three Surahs (Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq, An-Nas) of the Quran, hold palms together, spit (mainly air with little spit) in them, then wipe over his entire body with the hands, beginning with the head and face and then all parts of the body, three times.
Recite Ayat al-Kursi (Surah Baqarah, Verse 255 in the Quran) and there will remain a protection from Allah over you and no devil will draw near to you until morning. Recite the last two verses of Surah Baqarah. Subhan’Allah (thirty-three times), Alhamdulillah (thirty-three times), Allahu’Akbar (thirty-four times) اَيْحَأََو ُتْوُمَأَ َّمهَّللا َكِمْساِب (In Your name oh Allah, I live and die). Lastly: When afflicted by a calamity, or upon hearing of someone passing away اَهْنِم ً ارْيَخ يِل ْفُلْخاَو ،يِتَبْيِصُم يِف يِنْرُجْأَ َّمهَّللا ،َنْوُعِجاَر ِهْيَلِإ اَّنِإَو ِهلل اَّنِإ To Allah we belong and unto Him is our return. O Allah, recompense me for my affliction and replace it for me with something better. While ascending or descending (as is the case with stairs) هللا َناحـْبُس / رَبـْكَأَ ُهللا Ascending: Allah is the greatest. Descending: How perfect Allah is. Remembrance in the morning and evening In the morning: روشـِّنلا َكْيـَلِإَو ُتوـمَن َكِبَو ايـْحَن َكِبَو ،انيـَسْمَأَ َكِبَو انْحَبـْصَأَ َكِب َّمـُهّللا O Allah, by your leave we have reached the morning and by Your leave we have reached the evening, by Your leave we live and die and unto You is our resurrection. In the evening: ريـصَملا َكْيـَلِإَو ُتوـمَن َكِبَو ،ايـْحَن َكِبَو ،انْحَبـْصَأَ َكِبَو ،انيـَسْمَأَ َكِب َّمـُهّللا O Allah, by Your leave we have reached the evening and by Your leave we have reached the morning, by Your leave we live and die and unto You is our return. Duas for seeking forgiveness and repentance يِل ْرِفْغا ِّبَر يِل ْرِفْغا ِّبَر Lord, forgive me. My Lord, forgive me. ِهْيَلِإ ُبوُتَأََو َهللا ُرِفْغَتْسَأَ َهللا , ُرِفْغَتْسَأَ َهللا , ُرِفْغَتْسَأَ I seek the forgiveness of Allah and repent to him. ُروُفـَغلا ُباّوـَّتلا َتـْنَأَ َكَّنِإ ،َّيـَلَع ْبُتَو ،يل ْرـِفْغا ِّبَر My Lord, forgive me and accept my repentance, You are the Ever-Relenting, the All-Forgiving. ِهيَلِإ ُبوُتَأَو ُمُوّيَقلا ُّيَحلا َوُه َّلاإ َهَلِإ َلا يِذَّلا َهللا ُرِفْغَتْسَأَ
I seek Allah’s forgiveness, besides whom, none has the right to be worshipped except He, The Ever Living, The Self-Subsisting and Supporter of all, and I turn to Him in repentance. ُهَّرِسَو ُهَتَيِنَلاَعَو ُهَرِخآَو ُهَلَّوَأََو ،ُهَّلِجَو ُهَّقِد ،ُهَّلُك يِبْنَذ يِل ْرِفْغا َّمُهَّللا O Allah, forgive me all my sins, great and small, the first and the last, those that are apparent and those that are hidden. يِنْعَفْراَو ،يِنْقُزْراَو ،يِنِفاَعَو ،يِنْرُبْجاَو ،يِنِدْهاَو ،يِنْمَحْراَو ،يِل ْرِفْغا َّمُهَّللا O Allah forgive me, have mercy on me, guide me, support me, protect me, provide for me and elevate me.
