Status • Latest released WP1 RPMs: 2.0.18-1 • Installed in the development testbed • LCG is installing them in its testbed • Only one new problem: WM doesn’t start if its log file doesn’t exist yet: already fixed in CVS • Next: WP1 RPMs v. 2.1.0 • New stuff • VOMS support • LB ACLs • A couple of bug fixes • Not released yet because problems with proxy renewal

Known open issues • Logging by WM, JC and LM fail when user proxy expired • Shall we use the host proxy when this happens ? • Problems with resubmission • CEs already “used” are not considered (bug #1103) • Resubmission tried even if a job gets aborted because proxy expired (bug #1643) • Registration of WMS services in RGMA and status scripts (bug #1324) • Not use anymore /tmp, otherwise “old” WMS files get deleted by tmpwatch (bug #1918) • BrokerInfo • Replacement for old getSelectedFile needed (bug #1848)

  4. Known open issues • Restart of daemons (bug #1105) • Should be done for all daemons (NS, WM, JC, LM, LB processes, proxy renewal daemon) • Dynamic quota management in NS • edg-job-list-match and edg-job-submit can hang (bug #1362) • Approach (work in progress): setting timeout in socket

Known open issues • edg-wl-ns restart doesn’t work (bug #1798) • Because port is busy • Not abort immediately a job in case of problems (RLS or II down), but retry for a while (bug #1812) • More clear error messages when no resources found with edg-job-list-match • As already done with edg-job-submit • Documentation • Gangmatching note missing • API doc missing

Some input for the “refinement list” • Exploit LB ACLs setting-query via command line tools • Call a WP3 monitor script from Job Wrapper • Exploit LB extended querying capabilities • UI commands for these queries • Possibility to define user tag in JDL to exploit extended querying capabilities • Exploit transfer_input_files, transfer_output_files in Condor submit file to transfer sandbox files between WN and RB node via GASS instead of using gridftp ? • Outbound IP connectivity wouldn’t be needed anymore from WN to transfer sandboxes • People keep asking to remove this constraint
