BioSense Organization Roles • CDC – BioSense 2.0 Program • RTI – Direct subcontractor of the BioSense 2.0 development • Epidemico – RTI contractor focusing on the front-end interface • Northrup Grumman • Governance Group – Advice and recommendations to CDC on development of BioSense 2.0 • ASTHO – Facilitator of Data Use Agreements and the Governance Group, and purchasing the Amazon Web Services Gov Cloud • CSTE – Facilitated the recruitment of states and territories • ISDS – Subject matter expertise • NACCHO – Facilitated the recruitment of counties and cities http://biosense2.org/

Governance Group Membership: 15 Representatives • 8 Elected representatives • 3 to represent state and territorial public health agencies • 3 to represent local public health agencies • 2 to represent non-public health data providers (hospitals, electronic health records vendors, etc), • 4 Association Representatives • The Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO) • The Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists (CSTE) • The International Society for Disease Surveillance (ISDS) • The National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) • 3 Federal Representatives • The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) • The US Department of Defense (DoD) • and The US Department of Veteran’s Affairs (VA) http://biosense2.org/
