  19. Communications 19

  20. Town Hall Communications Thank you everyone for your invaluable participation during these last several months of “Town Halls”. We know there are some kinks yet to work out for who should get the communications and we appreciate your patience while we work to create the most up-to-date Data Pipeline Distribution Lists.

  21. Staff Personnel Form 21

  22. Staff Personnel Form • Location of the Staff Personnel Information Form: • http://www.cde.state.co.us/datapipeline/inter_staff 22

  23. Assessment SBD 23

  24. SBD Clearifications • Pre-Coded label data will be downloaded from non-tagged data in the student interchange. • SBD collections are exactly like ADE collections. Districts are verifying /correcting the file from the assessment vendor – they are not updating student interchanges and data pipeline is not overwriting vendor data with data from student interchange. 24

  25. Student File Walk Through with Tagging – CDE is asking LEAs to attempt submitting a student file after the Town Hall 25

  26. Tagging • Why is it needed? • Three collections occur at same time. • Student October – data as of October 1st • December Count – data as of December 1st • Precoded labels most recent value 26

  27. Tagging • Who needs it? • Districts who want to store data for a collection and work on more recent data at the same time. • Districts who want to continue cleaning up current data while finalizing their pupil enrollment. 27

  28. Tagging • How does it work? • File upload screen select tag 28

  29. Tagging • File is loaded and all records are tagged • Uses for tagging • Allows storage of three different data sets • Similar to having three similar spreadsheets with different names. • Test_OCT.xlsx • Test.xlsx • Test_DEC.xlsx 29

  30. Tagging • How do you know records have been tagged? • Batch Maintenance Screen • Edit record screen 30

  31. Tagging • What does it look like in the database? • Load student with Student October tag • Load same student for precoded labels and no tag 31

  32. Tagging • What does it look like in the database? • Load data specific to Special Education December Count • There are three different sets of data for the same student. • One for October 1st • One for current value • One for December 1st 32

  33. Tagging • How does the system know what row to use? • Create snapshot screen – For Student October • Choose tagged or untagged records. • Tagged records will take precedence over untagged records 33

  34. Tagging • Some common questions • Do I have to use tagging? • No, tagging is not required. It was added because it was requested by districts • What collections use tagging? • Only the student profile uses tagging. It is used for Student October and Special Education December Count. • Why would I need to use tagging? • Tagging is used when there is a concern with data overlapping and incorrect values being reported. 34
