  2. Introduction • Welcome to the mission month • GCCC Evangelical vision of 2021, 99 + 1 • The meaning of 99 + 1 and the Father’s love

  3. 路加福音 15:3-10 And He spoke this parable to them, saying,  (4)  What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness and go after that which is lost until he finds it?  (5)  And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing.  (6)  And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them, Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost.  (7)  I say to you that likewise joy shall be in Heaven over one sinner who repents, more than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.  

  4. 2021, 99+1 Evangelism Vision (1) • 99 + 1 = 100 • The emphasis is on the one not received the salvation of Christ • We sought to bring 100 people to the Lord • We will endeavor to reach this number by the year 2021 • By the end of year 2021 (in 3 years) bring 100 people to Christ

  5. 2021, 99+1 Evangelism Vision (2) • As Jesus said, Mar 11:22-24  … “Have faith of God.  (23)  For truly I say to you that whoever shall say to this mountain, Be moved and be cast into the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that what he said shall occur, he shall have whatever he said.  (24)  Therefore I say to you, All things, whatever you ask, praying, believe that you shall receive them, and it will be to you.” • 「你們當信服神。 我實在告訴你們，無論何人對這座山說：『你挪開此地，投在海裡！』他若心裡不疑惑，只信他所說的必成，就必給他成了。  所以我告訴你們，凡你們禱告祈求的，無論是什麼，只要信是得著的，就必得著。 • Have no doubt in our hearts, to believe, and to pray. We shall receive all things of God that may seem impossible.

  6. The Lost Sheep Parable (1) • The Image of a sheep • Not as a domestic animal, but as a valuable belong (珍貴的所有) • So valuable that a losing one in a hundred is a great lost. •  Leaving the 99 to search for the 1 • Searching is a difficult, arduous and dangerous process that may take days. • The shepherd leaves (撇：放下) the 99, not abandoning (撇棄), in search of the precious lost.

  7. The Lost Sheep Parable (2) •  Why carry? • And when the lost sheep is found, what joy? • “I once was lost, but now am found” • “前我失喪，今被尋回！” • Why carry? Because the sheep can’t •  The rejoicing: shepherd’s uncontrollable joy

The Father’s Love • How is your relationship with your father? • We as parents of children (我們為人父母) • We want the best for them: • A man may be imperfect in love, but God is perfect • Your children may very well do not recognize our love for them. • Such is the aching God has for us in His gospel • God wants us to be good like him, • God want and the best for us, which is the everlasting life (永生)

  9. The Heart of the Father • Change in children comes slowly and is a transformative process • As parents, we wait, give opportunity, and hope for opportunity for our children to listen and understand. • It is a spiritually (心靈) difficult and a longer suffering process, like the shepherd going to the wilderness to find his lost sheep. • The willingness to accept a child’s return is the heart of the Heavenly Father.

  10. The Rejoicing of the Father • What joy when there is understanding and reconciliation! • Th joy of love, the joy of love can flow again! • That love is for every one of God’s children.

  11. What Joy! • The passion of God for the lost • The price of Christ paid on the Cross for the lost • The joy of the lost being found • They joy of recovering the lost

  12. Application • Would you? • God want you take part in the same joy He has! • As you were one of the lost sheep • Did you feel the joy of when you were found? • Did you feel the joy of the Lord in recovering you? • Have you felt the joy of a found sheep? • The Great Commission: God’s Love and command to love • Come and rejoice; So that your joy may be full!

Conclusions • The vision statement: 2021, 99 + 1 • It is an opportunity for us to: • Exercise our faith • See God’s great works in moving the mountain into the sea • Experience the power of the Holy Spirit working in us • Rejoice! And take part in God’s joy • It is God’s great commission to us • You are the 99, now go seek the lost 1.
