Infrasound and Ultrasound • Infrasound • Tigers and birds are two of the animals the use infrasound to communicate and navigate • Infrasound is sound that is lower in frequency than 20 Hz (Hertz) or cycles per second, the "normal" limit of human hearing. • Ultrasound • Bats, Dolphins, Whales, and now Frogs • Ultrasound a frequency above the upper limit of the normal range of human hearing, which is about 20 kilohertz
