The University of Akron Postsecondary Enrollment Options Program
What is the Postsecondary Enrollment Options Program? • The Postsecondary program, or Senate Bill 140, was created by the Ohio Legislature to allow high school students to supplement their high school curriculum by taking college courses while still in high school. • Two options are provided: • Option A: Allows the student to receive college credit only. Students are responsible for all costs associated with the program, including tuition and fees, textbooks, supplies, and materials. • Option B: Allows the student to receive both high school and college credit simultaneously. Required textbooks and tuition and fees related to the coursework are provided for the student at public expense.
