  3. U.S. Department of Justice Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) OVC is a federal agency within the Office of Justice Programs, USDOJ. Congress formally established OVC in 1988 through an amendment to the 1984 Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) to provide leadership and funding on behalf of crime victims.

  4. U.S. Department of Justice Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) The mission of OVC is to enhance the Nation’s capacity to assist crime victims and to provide leadership in changing attitudes, policies, and practices to promote justice and healing for all victims.

  7. Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Programs • Supports states, local communities, and tribal jurisdictions. • Develops and implements programs to protect public safety, hold offenders accountable, provide services that address the needs of youth and their families.
