Hypothesis What Is Space Junk? My hypothesis was that space junk was a lot of rubbish that orbited around planets and all around space.
What is Space Junk? Thousands of nuts and bolts are Space waste which orbit around the Earth. The Space Junk is caused by humans. The Space Junk comes from loose bolts on rockets, satellites, paint flakes and space probes. This debris zooms around the globe at 25,000 miles per hour. Space Junk is very dangerous. Even a piece of Space Junk smaller than 1mm can be as dangerous as a 22 calibre bullet.
Hypothesis What causes Space Junk? My hypothesis for this question was that space junk is caused by satellites, rockets and abandoned satellites.
What causes Space Junk? Space Junk is caused by rockets, space craft parts, abandoned satellites, solar cells, paint chips, spent rocket stages and also solid fuel fragments. There is an estimate of 70,000 pieces of space junk out there in space. 40,000 of that orbits around the Earth and most space junk is small, but no smaller than a baseball.
Hypothesis Is Space Junk a good thing or bad hing? I thought that space junk was a bad thing because it affected space exploration. It was a harm to humans and other planets.
Is Space Junk a good thing or a bad thing? Who thinks space junk a good thing ? Well your wrong. Space Junk is a bad thing because it is a huge damage to space. Space Junk pollutes space and also pollutes other planets like Uranus or Saturn. The only good thing about space junk could be that it can be recycled. Space Junk can also hit other satellites or hit another rocket and brake a piece off. The interesting thing is that there is 40 million pieces of space junk that only orbits around Earth. So 57 percent orbits around The Earth. The other 47 percent floats around space.
Implications *Makes space dangerous *Means we are destroying the ozone layer *Space crafts can crash into space junk *Astronauts can get hit *Satellites can brake
