PROGRAMS • Traditional ASPIRE: Mentoring at a site servinghigh school students • eASPIRE: Mentoring online serving high school students • Getting Ready to ASPIRE: Mentoring at a site serving middle school students www.AspireOregon.org

SITE RESPONSIBILITIES • Designate an ASPIRE site coordinator • Determine location at your site for the program • Provide release time, travel costs for ASPIRE coordinator to attend program events • Attend annual on site visit • Maintain tort and accident insurance for volunteers www.AspireOregon.org
SITE COORDINATOR • Recruit and manage volunteer corps • Recruit and match students with volunteers • Participation agreement for students under 18 • Perform background check on all volunteers • Attend program training and ASPIRE program events • Set program goals • Collect data: progress reports, surveys, student participation list, scholarship tracking www.AspireOregon.org
VOLUNTEERS • Trained mentors from your community • Background check required • One-on-one support directly to students either on site or via eASPIRE • Documents student progress on ASPIRE Student Tracker www.AspireOregon.org
DATA • According to the 2009-10 survey of senior ASPIRE students: • 81% applied to an institution for postsecondary education • 92% plan to continue their education after high school • 70% have either taken or plan to take the SAT • 79% filed a FAFSA • 71% applied for at least one other scholarship, not administered by OSAC • 50% applied for at least one OSAC scholarship www.AspireOregon.org

FUNDING • College Access Challenge Grant • $4,000 or $8,000 total based on size of the site • OSAC provides 50 percent ($2,000 or $4,000 cash) • Sites provide 50 percent (cash or in-kind) www.AspireOregon.org
