  3. Overview of Allocations

  4. What is Allocations? Every year, each and every one of you pays tuition. A portion of this payment is known as “Segregated Fees.” Of these segregated fees, not quite 10% is allocable. That is what we do. We allocate this money back to the clubs and organizations in a fair, equitable, and transparent way.

  5. Understanding the Allocations Gap: The Unfortunate Reality of Limited Resources ~5% Requests Available Allocable Funds 3% In 2012 the Allocations Gap = $258,354

  6. How the Allocations Gap Affects Your Org Due to limited resources, the SAC will grant funding on an extremely limited basis. Only funding determined by the committee to be extremely vital to an activity that directly pertains to the club or organization’s mission and purpose will be granted.

  12. Mission Statement - It should include the organization’s purpose boiled down to no more than 1/2 page - It’s important because: the goals expressed in this statement will be what we use to judge the necessity of funding requests - Example:

  13. Line Item Justification - For every line item that you are asking for money under, you must have a section in your Narrative Summary explaining exactly what those dollars will be going towards When in Doubt... BE SPECIFIC
