  4. Credible Sources • What makes an author a credible source for Internet research? • Is the author's name listed? • Is the author an authority in the field? • Does the author list an email address or phone number for contact? • Is there a link to the author's biographical information?

  5. Credible Sources • Questions to ask of credible sources: • Is the information reliable and free from errors? • Is a bibliography included to verify the information? •  Is it clear who is responsible for the accuracy of the material? • Are there links to other reliable sources?

  6. Credible Sources • How to tell if a website is current enough to be a credible source What is the date of the last revision of the website? Is the date given for when the information was gathered? Is the page kept current?Do the links really work? Is this truly the latest information on the topic? Do a search for some of the information in the article and see if there's anything new that's been learned.
