What is the Fosse style? • Fosse's choreographic style focused on the imperfections of a dancer's body to create new moves and poses. • "I thank God that I wasn't born perfect."
Fosse’s Style(cont.) • A Fosse dancer must have experience in ballet, and the dance styles of tap (especially rhythm tap), jazz and ballet. • Recognizable by its slinky moves and quick isolations, rolling shoulders and sleek, thrusting movements • focus primarily on legs and feet (also on hips, belly, shoulders)
