Why is it important to have a variety of animals in the Bay? The Stripped Bass are important to the bay because they helps to keep the food chain going. The Horse Shoe Crabs are important to the bay because they are used by doctors for research. The Sea Cucumbers are important to the bay because they play a big role on the food chain. My research will show that Stripped Bass, Horse Shoe Crabs and Sea Cucumbers are important to the bay.
Stripped Bass The Stripped Bass help keep the food chain going. They are important because they are a part of the bays food chain. They are a little rare because of over fishing and it lost a lot of population. Stripped Bass are also the Maryland state fish. Stripped Bass is also known as the Rockfish. Now that We are through with Stripped Bass we can talk about Horse Shoe Crabs.
Horse Shoe Crabs The Horse Shoe Crabs are important because without Lodgerheads and Anokels can’t live Scientists use 200,000 Horse Shoe Crabs to help the human eye vision. Horse Shoe Crabs are Arthipods and they eat Marine Worms. Scientists use Horse Shoe Crabs blood for surgery. Now we can talk about Sea Cucumbers.
Sea Cucumbers Sea Cucumbers are important to the bay because they play a big role in the food chain. Humans eat Sea Cucumbers to better their body. The Sea Cucumbers eat plants to continue the food chain. Crabs and many fishes eat Sea Cucumbers to live longer. There are many animals in the bay and we learned about some three.
Conclusion In conclusion there are many animals in the bay and we learned about three and those three are Stripped Bass, Horse Shoe Crabs and Sea Cucumbers. These animals help the food chain and even us humans. It will help us all someday.
