  2. Birth William Shakespeare wasborn in the town of Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire. In a house on Henley street. His mother’snamewas Mary Arden and his father’snamewas John Shakespeare.

  3. Marriage Shakespeare got married in the early age of 18. His wife Anne Hathaway waseightyearsolderthanhim. Sixmonths after theirmarriagetheirdaughter, Susanna wasborn. Twoyears later theyhadtwins, Hamnet & Judith.

  4. Sonnets and plays Shakespeare was famous for his sonnets and all his plays. Some of his plays were Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet and Mcbeth. And he wrote in total 154 sonnets.

  5. The plague! William Shakespeare was lucky indeed to survive to adulthood in sixteenth-century England. Waves of the plague swept across the countryside, and pestilence ravaged Stratford during the hot summer months. Unfortunately his son Hamnet died because of the plague.

  6. Education Shakespeare was probably educated at the King's New School in Stratford, a free school chartered in 1553, about a quarter mile from his home. But the school had originally been set up by the Guild of the Holy Cross, a church institution in the town, early in the 15th century.
