  11. Why we went to McDonald’s • We went to McDonald’s because we wanted to see how they made their food , where it came from, and their effect on the environment.

  15. Meat and Gardens • The Botanical Gardens is one of the only gardens that makes it’s own honey and is open to the public and also has a reindeer farm. They can slaughter the reindeer and sell the meat to people who would like fresh reindeer meat • The GoldStream Chicken Farm raises and sells chickens to different people. They have chickens that lay eggs and then they sell the eggs that the chickens lay. They also keep some of the eggs the chickens lay for themselves. The other kind of chicken that they have is a meat chicken, They sell the meat and keep some of the meat for themselves as well.

  17. Local Farms In Fairbanks • One of Fairbanks’s most popular market is the Farmers Market. The market supplies people in Fairbanks with local and naturally grown food from the farmers. The vegetables sold here have no added chemicals or preservatives to enhance the food. They have a variety of food shops and art. • Calypso Farms is one of the farms that provides people with fresh meat, veggies, and eggs. They also have a program called C.S.A (Community Supported Agriculture.) Which is when people regularly order vegetables from the Farm. • Chena Hot springs grows a variety of different flowers and veggies in their greenhouses. Some of the spices and veggies that they grow, they use in their restaurant.
