What is Valuation??? • Valuation of plant and machinery assets determines the collateral value of the loan amount. • It is a process of figuring out the value of the company’s plant and machinery assets. • A professional plant and machinery valuer looks for comparables of the equipment by overviewing the equipment's condition, capacity, year of manufacture, etc.

Role and function of Plant and Machinery Valuers • A professional valuer should be acquainted with the process, method of valuation and types of plant and machinery. • The valuer should personally visit the site and carry out his/her survey and analyse the results citing a solution. • The valuer must prepare a well-researched valuation report showing genuine justification and highlighting future possibilities.
