What is NARIMS? • NARIMS stands for National Agriculture Research Information Management System. • It is a Web based bi-lingual (Arabic/English) information system aimed at capturing and disseminating information about: • Research institutions. • Researchers of those institutions. • Publications issued by those researchers. • Projects done or currently active. • It consists of: • Backend that enables data management • Front-end that enables data browsing and searching

Customization Tool Objectives • The objective of this tool is to enable IT specialists in an organization in the countries of the WANA region to customize the NARIMS that developed by CLAES in collaboration with FAO. • Customization includes describing an Organization Structure, Job Hierarchy, Scientific Meta Data (AGROVOC), Language Requirements, and Captions of data entry screens.

ARC Focal Points • Focal Point: the person or organization responsible for the coordination of activities and tasks among several groups or networks • This component contains information about the focal points exist across the ARC institutes and laboratories • It contains their Names, Location, and how to reach them (Work Phone, Mobile No, and E-mail)

  12. News and Events • It contains all the news and events related to ARC • It views news and events (Date, Details, File)

  13. FP7 Recent Calls • It contains Seventh Research Framework Program (FP7) recent calls for projects proposals • It views recent calls (Description , Program , publish date , and Deadline)
